10-Day Complete Omo Valley Cultural Expedition

Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Arrive at Bole International Airport. Transfer to hotel.
Overnight: Addis Ababa

Day 2: Drive to Arba Minch (via Debre Zeit & Ziway)
Stop at scenic spots on the way.
Overnight: Arba Minch

Day 3: Nech Sar Safari & Lake Chamo Boat Ride
Wildlife safari in the morning, crocodile and hippo viewing in the afternoon.
Overnight: Arba Minch

Day 4: Arba Minch – Konso – Woyto – Jinka
Visit Konso (terraced hills, Wagas), then continue through Woyto (Tsemay tribe).
Overnight: Jinka

Day 5: Visit the Mursi Tribe – Mago National Park
Explore the culture of the Mursi people, known for lip plates and ritual stick fights.
Overnight: Jinka

Day 6: Key Afer Market (Thursday) – Drive to Turmi
If Thursday, visit Key Afer Market to meet Benna, Ari, and Karo tribes. Drive to Turmi.
Overnight: Turmi

Day 7: Visit the Karo Tribe
Drive to Karo village, famous for artistic body and face painting on the banks of the Omo River.
Overnight: Turmi

Day 8: Omorate – Dasenech Tribe – Dimeka Market (Saturday)
Cross the Omo River to visit Dasenech/Galeb tribes. Afternoon Hamer village visit and possible Bull Jumping ceremony (seasonal).
Overnight: Turmi (camping or lodge)

Day 9: Drive to Konso via Arbore – Visit Gesergio (“New York”)
Visit Arbore tribe and explore Gesergio rock formations near Konso village.
Overnight: Arba Minch

Day 10: Fly Arba Minch – Addis Ababa – Departure
Morning flight to Addis. Optional shopping or cultural activities before transfer to the airport.
