Day 1: Flight to Gondar – Castles & Culture

Day Trip – Wenchi
Early Morning: Departure from Addis Ababa. Our journey begins early from Ghion Hotel, heading west toward Ambo. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of lush highlands and local countryside life, setting the tone for a day of exploration.
Mid-Morning: Arrival at Wenchi. Begin a gentle hike from the crater rim to the lake. Experience stunning panoramic views of the emerald lake, forested slopes, and volcanic terrain while meeting welcoming locals and immersing in peaceful nature.
Late Morning: Horse Riding & Canoe Ride. At the lakeshore, you can enjoy a fun horseback ride — either for pleasure or to help with the return journey. Then take a canoe trip across the lake for a memorable view from the water.
Camping – Wenchi
Day 1: From Addis to Wenchi. Depart early from Ghion Hotel in Addis Ababa and travel west through scenic highlands to Wenchi Crater Lake. Upon arrival, hike into the crater while enjoying panoramic views and interacting with local communities.
Lake Activities: Enjoy a serene canoe ride across the lake to visit a historic island monastery. Unwind with a natural mud bath and a rejuvenating hot spring shower before settling in for a cozy evening under the stars and around the campfire.

We’ll leave Addis early in the morning, heading south through the Rift Valley on a smooth and scenic drive.
